How to extend the life of hearing aids

How to extend the life of hearing aids
For the hearing aid to wear beautiful and convenient to call. Please pay attention to the usual use:

1 On a soft surface (such as a bed, sofa, etc.), carefully wear and remove the hearing aid, do not drop on a hard object.

2 Clean the hearing aid at least twice a week, if the earwax should increase the number of cleanings. Clean the surface with a soft dry cloth and a cotton ball, and use a brush to remove the earwax around the mouth and the vent (because the sound port is blocked, the sound is made smaller, and the receiver is damaged). Remember not to wash with water. If the hearing port of the hearing aid is equipped with a tamper-proof baffle, remove the baffle to remove earwax, ensure that the baffle is completely clean around the baffle, and keep the ear canal clean even if a new baffle is replaced. With the improvement of people's living standards, "listen clearly, listen well" has become the goal that everyone pursues, so more and more people know and wear hearing aids. In the actual matching, we often hear the question that “the hearing aid can be used for a few years” and “the hearing aid will be damaged frequently”. This shows that the use and maintenance of the hearing aid are not well understood.

As we all know, hearing aids are very sophisticated electronic products. The internal components are small and compact, and it often accompany you to participate in various social activities. The working environment is relatively complicated, so it is more prone to failure than other home appliances. In order to extend the life of the hearing aid and reduce the failure rate of the hearing aid, it is necessary to work on the use and maintenance of the hearing aid to provide a good working environment for the hearing aid.

The following is to talk about the shape of the hearing aid, namely, the box type, the ear type, the in-ear type (including the in-ear type, the ear canal type, and the deep ear canal type).

(1) The box type hearing aid is to connect the hearing aid and the earphone (receiver) with a wire, and when not in the clothes, put the earphone with the earplug in the ear. This kind of hearing aid is relatively simple and reliable, please pay attention when using:

1 Do not break the wire, do not break the earphones.

2 Do not use excessive force when adjusting the switch and volume potentiometer. Do not use a small, hard screwdriver to pick up the microphone.

3 Regularly clean the earwax on the surface of the hearing aid and the earplugs.

(2) The behind-the-ear hearing aid is worn behind the ear, and the sound is transmitted to the ear through the ear mold or earplug. Sweat has many opportunities for damage to the behind-the-ear hearing aids. The sweat is also corrosive to hearing aids. Daily maintenance must pay attention to:

1 Wipe the hearing aid with a soft dry cloth or tissue to keep the skin and hearing aid behind the ear clean and free of sweat and dust.

2 ear molds should be kept clean. If earwax and dirt block the sound outlet, sound channel, and vent, it must be cleaned. Remove the hearing aid from the ear mold before cleaning, clean it with a special cleaning tool and brush, then rinse it off with warm water and a mild wash solution. After cleaning, the ear mode sound channel and the vent hole are completely dried. Do not wash the ear mold with alcohol. If the sound tube on the ear mold ages hard, yellow, and crack, replace it immediately.

3 Periodically place the hearing aid in a dry box to remove moisture that penetrates into the hearing aid.

4 Carefully operate the switch and potentiometer as in the case of the aforementioned box hearing aid. Because of the failure of the switch or potentiometer, the hearing aid may be in poor contact and produce noise.

(3) In-the-ear (including in-the-ear, ear canal, deep-ear canal) hearing aids, which are placed directly in the ear when in use. Never insert anything directly into the sound hole and vent. The hearing aid is periodically dried in a dry box to remove moisture that penetrates into the hearing aid.

Finally, everyone is reminded that if the hearing aid is not worn for a long time, the battery should be taken out, because the damage of the battery to the hearing aid movement is very serious. Do not wear hearing aids for bathing, face washing, rain, beauty make-up, etc., to avoid mechanical impact of hearing aids, and not to repair the hearing aids by yourself. Store the hearing aid in a cool, dry place, do not place it in a hot, humid place, and always read the instructions for use of the hearing aid.

If you use it carefully and carefully maintain it to provide a good working environment for your hearing aid, you will be rewarded with a stable working condition and a long service life.
